It was his first fight. He went to a small village. The drive was two hours long and Focus had to wait.

“There were a lot of fights,” the young athlete said.

But eventually, he got into the ring. He was hit.

“He kicked my face,” Focus said. “I lost on points.”

His opponent was more experienced. But now Focus understands what it means to enter the ring. He’s given himself a new goal.

“I want to fight again but I need to train more,” he said.

Focus received 500 baht for his fight. Young fighters often use their purses to help fund their families. The money can be used for rice, gasoline, or other necessities.

Focus is one of the many young fighters who come to the gym. They are in search of a better future, but to get it, Focus must train more.

A Small Altar At Fairtex

The equipment stores are doing very well. Fairtex set up shop in Pattaya, Hua Hin, Korat, Chiang Mai, and other locations around Thailand.

International sales are going up as the company continues to provide high quality products.

Nevertheless, the staff set up a small shrine at the Fairtex Training Center. The shrine is composed of everything the spirits need: a little bit of food, some incense, and, best of all, red Fanta soda.

Although Thailand is a Buddhist country there are many animist beliefs. Thais believe there are spirits in buildings. And these spirits need to be recognized. The belief is that offerings make the spirits happy. Then the spirits will keep away any bad energies or spirits.

And so business will prosper.

Rajadamnern Stadium Champion On Cornering

Kru Chao is a former stadium champ. He fought out of Chuwattana gym for years. While there he got the belt.

Now he uses his experience to guide athletes. But the legend of the sport finds it best to only work with some athletes.

“Normally I don't like to be a cornerman,” Kru Chao said.

Being a cornerman requires a lot of responsibility. If the athlete is hurt or injured it is up to the cornerman to take care of them. They are duty bound to treat injuries between rounds and prepare them for the fight ahead. This can be words of wisdom and physical work such as massages.

“But when it’s my athlete and I understand,” Kru Chao said.

Communication between fighters and coaches is easier when they work together. Sometimes athletes go to the venue with different trainers. The working relationship is not as smooth.

Recently Kru Chao went to Lumpinee Stadium. He worked with Matthew Daalman an athlete from the Netherlands. Kru Chao went viral for his straightforward advice.

“You now listen to me, you not step back,” he told Daalman. “You want to win, you not stop.”

A Knockout Debut For Neungsiam Fairtex

There’s a new number one in Siam and it’s Neungsiam Fairtex. The young athlete appeared on Fairtex Fight and made a splash.

“I am happy I won,” Neungsiam said.

He took on Petchsaifah Ponchimpee. He landed a big kick and then a devastating elbow for the KO win.

“I didn't think I could win by ko,” he said. Neungsiam’s last bout was at Rajadamnern. The fighter won by KO there as well.

He wants to continue his win streak but his ultimate goal is higher.

“I want to be a champ at ONE.”

Neungsiam is kicking it in style in his Fairtex Muay Thai shorts. The trunks are built for the sport with plenty of leg room for maximum flexibility with kicks, knees, and other strikes.

Kongdech Wins In Macau

Kongdech performed in Macau. The Lumpinee World Championship show champ went with the Fairtex Fight team to battle at the Londoner in Macau.

“I was the first fighter from Thailand,” he said.

Kongdech was worried about the performance pressure and his opponent. He took on Chi Shaohua.

“He had good hands and leg kicks,” Kongdech said. “I was nervous and excited. The weather was very cold.”

The temperature difference can play tricks on fighters. Their bodies slow down, and they are more likely to get sick.

It was Kongdech’s second time fighting abroad.

“I fought in Cambodia before,” he said. “I wasn’t inspired by my performance.”

While not impressed by his fight he showed he can fight on the international stage.

Kongdech is sporting the Fairtex Original Fight Team T-Shirt. The shirt is worn by Fairtex fighters and trainers leading up to their bout. The shirt is premium quality and prewashed to prevent shrinking. It is made of extra soft cotton with superior double stitching. It has a classic athletic cut.

Why Does The Shadowcat Like Cats

Jihin Radzuan is nicknamed “The Shadowcat.” The Malaysian MMA star is prepping for her next MMA bout.

She takes on Japanese star Ayaka Miura at ONE Fight Night on October 4th. The atomweight MMA fight will be a test for Radzuan.

Recently the athlete went to a small cat café. For her, the animals are a stress relief.

“I don't know why I like cats,” she said. “They aren’t clingy. They just need good food and a litter box. They are easy to take care of.”

Radzuan went to a small cat café in nearby Jomtien. The café hosted 15-20 cats of different types. There were Maine Coons, Siamese, and Persian cats.
