The fight everyone has been talking about is coming up on April 22nd. Jackie Buntan battles Smilla Sundell for the first ever Strawweight title.

Buntan is riding a three fight win streak. The Boxing Works technician took out Wondergirl Morroak Gym, Ekatrina Vandaryeva, and Daniela Lopez. Trained since she was 14 by Bryan Popejoy, Buntan is a smooth and evasive warrior with killer hands. She knocked down the tough Wondergirl in her debut bout at ONE Championship. In Buntan's last bout she pulverized Lopez’s nose.

Smilla The Hurricane Sundell is a storm of force. Like Buntan she is coming to the match with a strong streak. She’s beaten Sawsing Sor Sopit, Nicola Collandar, and Diandra Martin. Sundell took out Martin, a strong Australian, in the third round. Sundell is training for the championship with none other than Rodtang Jitmuangnon. Rodtang “The Iron Man” is the current ONE flyweight Muay Thai champion.

USA fighters Light Up Lumpinee

The Fairtex Training Center is home to the world’s best combat athletes. Fighters like Stamp and Ferrari Fairtex have grown their careers at the facility. The gym also develops talent from around the world.

Americans Aaron Zackon and Maggie Vinom came to the training center six months ago. They both had strong performances at Lumpinee Stadium for the Fairtex Fight Promotion.

Zackon defeated Khongla Sor Jor O Pisanulook. Zackon demolished the taller Thai fighter with strong attacks to the body. The American sent Khongla down for the count in the second round.

Maggie battled the crafty Nonglek at 47kg. After three rounds of action, the American boxer took the win.

Stadium Muay Thai Fighters Move To Three Round Bouts

Fairtex Fight Promotions, a weekly event at the famed Lumpinee Stadium, struck a deal with Kiatpetch promotions.

The owner of Kiatpetch Promotion, Jun, and Prem Busarabavonwongs (promoter for Fairtex Fight Promotion) met in Bangkok to complete an athlete agreement.

Starting next month two nak muay from Kiatpetch promotion will perform on the Fairtex. Boxers will be sent every week.  This cross-promotion agreement has high level stadium fighters fight on the three round entertainment style show.

Kiatpetch organizes the weekly TKO Superfight show on Amarin TV at Rajadamnern. They are also the main promoter for Channel 7 stadium.

The Fairtex Fight Promotion card airs every Saturday from 10 am -12 pm Thai time (10 pm -12 am EST). It airs on the Fairtex Fight Promotion Youtube with English commentary. The line up includes Muay Thai, Muay Extreme (Muay Thai in MMA gloves), and MMA.
