Fairtex is pushing boundaries: Champions, Awards and International Competition

Fairtex is pushing boundaries with some tremendous news.

Smilla Sundell Beats Jackie Buntan for ONE Championship Strawweight title

The talk of the town was Smilla, The Storm, and Sundell against the skilled Jackie Buntan. There was tons of drama in this one. Sundell missed the strict hydration test on weigh in day, then had to weigh in day of the fight. Buntan from Boxing Works passed with professional ease on the first day.

Come fight day, The Storm’s weapons were an absolute force. Tall and lanky she used her jab to punch in Buntan’s face. By the second and third round of the five round affair, Buntan had slowed. The American showed tremendous resilience and clever defense. Buntan used a knee guard to slow the taller Swede.

“Her jab was good,” Ferrari Fairtex said. “When Buntan did the knee guard, Smilla didn’t step back to break the guard. But she can defend her belt.”

Fairtex Fight Promotion Schedules Nakrob Vs Batman 3

A score is to settled on May 7th at Lumpinee stadium. Nakrob Fairtex will battle his arch nemesis Batman Or Atjachriiya. The two are going for their third bout.

The trilogy is hot. The first time they met for the 135lb Channel 7 belt, Nakrob was sure he won. The judges gave it to Batman. Fairtex Training Center Manager, Prem Busarabavonwongs brought the bout to the Sports Authority of Thailand. The SAT reviewed the fight. They viewed the fight in Nakrob’s favor.

A second bout occurred. This one saw Batman sitting down after a hard punch from Nakrob. Batman’s hands touched the ground, and he was slow to spring up. No count was given. The Fairtex warrior was aghast when the decision went to Batman.

The third time’s a charm though. The two will fight three rounds of action and Nakrob has a score to settle!

Americans Fights at Lumpinee Stadium

Aaron Zackon fought hard against Amrane Sor Suwaanran from Algeria. The USA native pressed and pressed taking the bout on points.

“I felt like a meathead,” Zackon said about his performance. “I was trying to brawl but he didn’t want to. I was looking to hurt him all the time. I fought hard but was not smart. Varying attacks is intelligence.”

It was a split decision win for Zackon. A rematch is rumored to be in the works.

Maggie Vinom appears on April 30th at Fairtex Fight Promotion. The small fighter has knock out power. She will take on the tough Petchjaras Mor Krungthep.

Vinom’s previous opponent dropped out due to illness. A very suitable opponent was found in Petchjaras. The Thai athlete is a former professional boxer.

The weight went up as well. Vinom was scheduled for 48kg. This bout is at 50kg.

“I am okay about the weight change. It wasn’t what I was expecting,” Vinom said. “But I’ve fought at this weight before. The good thing is I get to eat Moo Grata (Thai BBQ) tomorrow with the Fairtex team!”

Vinom’s bout will stream live on the Fairtex Fight Promotion Youtube with English Commentary from 10am to 12pm Thai time.

Americans Thai-Ngan Le and Robbinson Galvez are lined up for the big stage. Both fight on May 21st.

Le is experienced in Thailand. She had a successful run at the entertainment shows and was at the World Games Qualifiers in Denver Colorado recently.
