 Y2K Wants The Last Laugh

Max Muay Thai champion, Y2K entered the octagon in Singapore to take on Gurdashan Mangat. The fight had plenty of striking from Y2K. His Indian/Canadian opponent wrestled with him but Y2K was still able to get in the hits. At one point Mangat had Y2K’s back and Y2K threw multiple backward elbows with a smile. Our fighter staggered Mangat with teep to the jaw in the third as well. The bout went to decision the bout went to Mangat.

“I want a rematch in a month or two,” Y2K said. “He had a lot of bruises and injuries. I’m fine though. I wasn’t even tired!”

There’s no time off for the colorful MMA fighter. Y2K is back to the camp and helping out Wut in preparation for his bout at Lumpinee.

American Robbinson Galvez made a big splash at Lumpinee. The Mexican American took on the hard hitting Chalamseuk Kiatnavy. Now Galvez is planning on returning to the states to make his professional debut.

“I was going to do the IKF classic in Orlando,” Galvez said. “But I’m maxed out in experience and there is no one in my weight class. I plan on working on my social media presence and am in talks with several promotions about making my pro debut.”

Galvez leaves Fairtex at the end of the month to return to the Bay Area. He will be training hard and getting ready for whatever comes his way. An official fight announcement should be coming soon.

Fairtex is expanding its BJJ program. We’ve introduced a new Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor, Jean Carlos.
