Leather vs Microfiber
The key differences between genuine leather and microfiber boxing gloves lie in the materials, durability, and maintenance:
Material
Genuine Leather: Made from animal hide (usually cowhide), known for its toughness and flexibility.
Microfiber: A synthetic material engineered to mimic leather, varying in quality but designed for performance.
Durability
Genuine Leather: Long-lasting with proper care, retains quality over time.
Microfiber: While standard microfiber is not as long-lasting as leather, Fairtex uses premium microfiber for enhanced durability to extend the life of your glove.
Maintenance
Genuine Leather: Requires conditioning and cleaning to prevent drying, cracking, and odor.
Microfiber: Easier to maintain, more moisture-resistant, and less prone to odor.
Choose based on your preferences, budget, and usage.
What size glove should I get?
Gloves are measured in ounces (oz), typically ranging from 8 oz to 20 oz. Your ideal size depends on weight, training type, and preference:
8-10 oz: Best for competition.
12 oz: Common for women and those with smaller hands.
14 oz: Suitable for general training and sparring.
16 oz: Standard for sparring and general training for most adults.
18-20 oz: Ideal for larger individuals or for extra protection during sparring.
Choose the size that matches your needs for comfort and protection.
What type of glove should I get?
Choosing the right gloves depends on your training goals. Fairtex offers gloves for various purposes:
Training Gloves: Versatile for general training, including bag and pad work.
Sparring Gloves: Softer, designed for sparring to reduce injury risk.
Bag Gloves: Built for heavy bag work, featuring denser padding for durability.
Competition Gloves: Lighter gloves used for official matches.

Side by side 2012(?) TG03 size L and new one just received. Much smaller. New one weighs 250g old one 283g. Either you guys changed the sizing at some point or my originals are a mislabeled XL? Anyway, when one has the proper size, these are the best bag gloves of all time. Joined the waiting list for any new stock of XLs, but these new L's are going back.
Fantastic gloves,- quality material and stitching with solid support ,and superb mobility for practicing Muay Thai.
Nice padding around the knuckles with perfectly placed grip hose for forming a solid fist- great vibrant colors!
Worth noting the fit is small- Ii have pretty small hands for a man and the Medium just fits (a large would probably better ), so would bear that in mind when choosing your size.
Super fast shipping at a reasonable price,

Never disappoint. I’ve been using your gloves for over 20 years and the quality is superior to any other brand. Wouldn’t use any other than Fairtex
Been doing boxing and Muay Thai for about 5 years, finally took the plunge to get some bag gloves. Ordered an L, which was good because these fit snug even without hand wraps. Very good for spiraling your punches correctly on the bags and the open thumbs allow you to grab the bag properly to practice knees. Definitely not sparring gloves unless they're standing in for MMA gloves - looking forward to seeing how long they last!
Got these to replace a pair of 16oz gloves with protected thumb that I used for about six years. The bag gloves are much lighter, although seem to be just as strongly made. It's nice to have thumb free for a workout. The weight is a trade... can move faster but I liked the extra weight for a workout. if the bag gloves last as long as the sparring gloves, I'll be very happy.
