Fairtex HG10 Headgear Head Guard Super Sparring - Black & White

The key differences between leather and synthetic materials for guards lie in their durability, comfort, and maintenance:

Genuine Leather:

Durability: Known for its longevity and toughness, leather guards offer excellent durability with proper care.

Comfort: Leather conforms to the shape of your body over time, providing a comfortable and snug fit.

Maintenance: Leather requires regular conditioning and cleaning to prevent drying and cracking.

Synthetic Materials (e.g. Microfiber):

Durability: High-quality synthetics like microfiber are designed for durability and resilience, though not as long-lasting as leather.

Comfort: Lightweight and often more breathable, synthetic guards are easy to wear during extended training sessions.

Maintenance: Easier to maintain, synthetic guards are moisture-resistant and less prone to odor.

Choose based on your preferences for durability, comfort, and ease of care. Leather is ideal for those seeking a traditional feel, while synthetics offer practicality and lower maintenance.

The size of your guards depends on your body measurements and the level of protection you need. Here’s how to select the right size for shin and head guards:

Shin Guards:

Small (up to 5'5", 135 lbs): Suitable for shorter or lighter fighters.

Medium (5'6"–5'10", 135–165 lbs): Ideal for average-sized adults.

Large (5'11"–6'2", 165–195 lbs): Recommended for taller fighters or those with a larger build.

Extra Large (6'3" and above, 195 lbs+): Best for taller, heavier fighters needing extra coverage.

Head Guards:

Small: Best for juniors or fighters with smaller head circumference.

Medium: Suitable for most adults with average head size.

Large: Recommended for adults with larger head circumferences or those who prefer a looser fit.

Extra Large: Designed for individuals with very large head sizes or those requiring extra room for added comfort.

Make sure to choose the size that fits snugly without restricting movement. Guards should offer complete protection without slipping or feeling too tight.

Choosing the right type of guard depends on your training focus. Fairtex offers various guards designed for specific needs:
