Fairtex BS1912 Kabuki Slim Cut Muay Thai Boxing Short

The key differences between satin and polyester Muay Thai shorts lie in the fabric’s feel, durability, and performance:

Satin:

Feel: Smooth and luxurious, satin has long been the traditional fabric for Muay Thai shorts due to its soft touch and distinctive sheen.

Durability: Satin shorts are durable but require more delicate care to maintain their look and feel.

Performance: Lightweight with a slight stretch, satin shorts provide excellent mobility, ideal for fighters who prioritize flexibility and comfort in the ring.

Polyester:

Feel: Polyester is a more modern, synthetic material that offers a smooth feel but with less sheen than satin.

Durability: Highly durable and resistant to wear and tear, polyester is built for rigorous training sessions and frequent use.

Performance: Moisture-wicking and quick-drying, polyester shorts are ideal for those looking for practicality and easy maintenance.

Choose based on your preference for traditional or modern feel, durability, and maintenance needs.

Muay Thai shorts sizing is based on waist measurements and is typically available in sizes XS to XXL. Here’s how to select the right size based on your waist and body type:

XS (24"-28" waist): Suitable for junior fighters or petite individuals.

S (26"-30" waist): Ideal for slimmer adults or teenagers.

M (28"-32" waist): Standard size for many adults and fighters of average build.

L (30"-34" waist): Common for adults with a more muscular or stocky build.

XL (34"-38" waist): Best for larger individuals who need more room.

XXL (36"-40" waist): Perfect for those who prefer a looser fit or have a larger frame.

For optimal comfort and movement, select the size that fits your waist while considering your personal preference for fit. Remember that Muay Thai shorts typically sit higher on the waist compared to other types of shorts.

Different styles of Muay Thai shorts cater to your specific training and competition needs:

Traditional Muay Thai Shorts:

Fit: High-cut with wide leg openings, allowing for maximum range of motion in kicks, knees, and clinching.

Use: Ideal for fighters of all levels, these shorts offer unmatched comfort and freedom of movement.

Retro Muay Thai Shorts:

Fit: Slimmer fit with a shorter leg length, designed for more active movement and a modern look.

Use: Great for fighters who prefer a snugger fit and enjoy the lightweight feel.

Choose based on your style preference, fit, and the specific needs of your training and fighting style.
